The Trust is pleased to announce the next section of Tasman's Great Taste Trail between Kohatu to Tapawera is now open to the public. This takes riders a further 2km from the Hidden Sculpture Garden, down the Maniaroa Cutting with stunning views over the hop farms towards Mt Arthur. There is now approximately 4.5km of off-road trail from the Flat Rock Cafe in Kohatu with 3km remaining on road to reach Tapawera.
The Trust would like to thank landowners who have generously provided permission for the trail to pass through their property. Construction on the final stage (beginning from Tapawera back towards Mararewa Cemetery) remains in progress and we ask that you follow the instructions of signs and do not attempt to ride unfinished sections of trail out of respect to contractors working and landowners who have provided permission for the trail to pass through their property.
